Colour build-up

When it comes to colouring our hair, many of
us seek vibrant, long-lasting results. However,
it's crucial to understand the potential
consequences of dragging permanent hair
colour through the ends of your hair. While
it may seem convenient or cost-effective to
apply colour uniformly, there are significant
reasons why this practice should be avoided.
The ends of our hair are typically older and
more fragile than the roots. Permanent hair
colour is designed to provide maximum
coverage and longevity. However, when
applied to the already porous and damaged
ends, the colour may appear uneven and
fade more quickly. Especially when applied
repeatedly, can cause excessive damage to
the delicate mire porous ends, leaving the hair
prone to breakage, splitting, and frizz.
By avoiding the application of permanent
colour on the ends, you can help maintain the
integrity of your hair and prevent unnecessary
damage.
Alternatively finish your root application and
apply a Temporary Colour on the ends. It will
allow you to achieve a more uniform and
vibrant result.
Prioritize regular deep conditioning treatments
and trims to keep your hair healthy and
prevent split ends. Nourishing your hair
with moisturizing masks, oils, and protein
treatments can help restore its vitality and
shine. Reducing porosity of your hair will
prolong longevity of your colour.
